11.7.11- James Morrison ft. Nelly Furtado "Broken Strings"

Hey; welcome back to Music Daily. Today's song is "Broken Strings" by James Morrison, featuring Nelly Furtado. This happens to be another song on "Now That's What I Call Music 39" that I never really listened to until recently. I love this song because it's just really beautiful in so many aspects. First of all, it's a realistic and better written version of "Need You Now" by Lady Antebellum; it's a story about two people falling out of love and you get to hear both sides of the situation. Another great thing about the song is the vocals and harmonies. It's very rare that you find that duet that has such unique vocalists on both sides as well as such amazing harmonies throughout the song. Lastly, I just love the song for its genuine feeling; you begin to actually feel bad for these people even though you know that it's all fake. Being able to move someone simply by singing a song is not only extremely hard to do, but it shows you how good the singers actually are with their vocal theatrics. These were only a few things that I thought were really good about this song today, but you can still leave a comment down below about what you enjoyed about it. Thanks for reading!

Love Always <3,
Katrina Lowell
